I just watched the president's State of the Union Address and was thoroughly impressed.
Now I am in a chat room where people are updating statuses on what they think. Okay. I understand that not everyone thinks alike (which is a good thing, yeah?) but why are some people just sooo so dumb. For instance: Obama wants to get rid of the "don't ask don't tell" policy and make is so that gays in the army can fucking be gay. They won't have to hide it or suffer... under the radar ridicule. This should be a good thing whether you approve of homosexuality or not. But noooo! Some people were updating things like "they shouldn't be allowed to serve!" What the hell?! Gah. People make me angry. I'm not going to even talk about why I feel this way or bash them for saying that - you can do that yourself. I just find that to be incredibly... childish.
Eww.
Good news. For those of you who are planning on attending college and then joining federal?/community? service careers upon graduating college - your debts will be forgotten after 10? 20 years? Something like that. I find that to be promising. I mean, if you are planning on giving back to society with the knowledge you gain from college, should you really be punished if you can't pay your loan back after that long? I mean, we know that those service jobs don't pay "big bucks" so... YAY!
There is also going to be a spending freeze? Kinda scary. Apparently after 2011 they won't spend money... in certain areas. I don't know what areas - they are saying them now I think...
but you can read about that later. Ok
This has be an uneventful post.
